Question - (22 July 2009) 3 Answers - (Newest, 22 July 2009)
A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Okay, this is embarrassing, but there's nothing for it so I might as well ask...

So, I was at my girlfriend's house, and at the request of her father, we were sleeping in separate beds.

In the morning as usual, she came down to wake me up, but the problem is that I had had a wet dream.

I never have wet dreams. this is one of like, two i've had in my lifetime.

but still, there I was, lying in a puddle of my own semen.

She said "can I come snuggle?"

I always say yes, but this time I said no. I didn't know what to do. I'm pretty sure she was kind of hurt.

I want her to know that it wasn't because of her, but I don't really want to tell her why... any suggestions?

Tell her the truth. She must have had some sex ed at school, so she must know that this is just a thing that happens to teenage boys from time to time, just like menstruation is something that happens to teenage girls.

I understand why you're embarrassed though - embarrassment is part of the job description for teenagers.

I think you should tell her why - there's no other way to explain it without making up some complex unbelievable lie...everyone's heard of wet dreams by her age, it shouldn't be embarrassing! She's probably really worried, put her out of her misery :)
