They itch like crazy and hurt sometimes, especially if I scratch them. I get temporary relief from vagisal. Does this sound typical to any STD?

Hi there, I've only just stumbled across your message as I've only just, today, became a member. Without scaring you, this does sound like an STD, only from the way you describe this. This typical description sounds like it could potentially be Genital Warts. I appreciate that the name in itself can make you feel extremely embarrassed and someone ashamed - don't feel this way. This is a hugely common STD, probably one of the most common out of all STD's and very much, reassuringly, treatable. I would recommend that you, if you haven't already, make an appointment with your GP to have this checked out immediately. Certainly in the meantime, I would avoid intercourse as Genital Warts are extremely contagious and not even condoms can 100% prevent contamination as Genital warts are contagious through skin to skin contact. Do get it check and don't worry about it. Put it this way, it's made you aware now and it's a lesson learned. Oh, do be sure to share this information with your partner should it be Genital Warts as he'll need to be checked out too. I hope all is ok with you. N X.

I'm sorry but this really isn't the type of question that can be answered on the internet with great certainty. Get yourself in to a doctor ASAP. It isn't wise to go by advise from total strangers with something that could be serious like this.

What I do to soothe mine is to use feminine wash (amazing stuff!) don't use anything scented like normal soaps or body washes.
Drinks lots of water and when you are on your period use those wipes between changing tampon/towel.
The wash/cream cleared up the rash and the itchiness within 24 hours so try this and if its not gone in a couple days go see your doc.
