reader, anonymous, writes (9 August 2007): HiIt really hurts but its best to do it after and not before your period is due since before your period you are much more sensitive. I also advise you take some painkillers before you go to reduce the pain. Its hurts but is definitely worth it.Cheerio

Well I ain't going to lie to you, it's not that pleasant and the first time can be quite 'intense'. You might also notice a little redness or a mild rash afterwards but this will settle down. Subsequent waxings are less painful but can still make you jump a little. A good beautician will be quick and this will spare any lasting agony. The end results are pretty good though...so a little suffering is worth it.
