Now neither of us want to get back together but lately i've been flirting with her a bit and today i tried to kiss her on the cheek but she stopped me. What do i do if I still want to be friends do i just not mention it or should I apologise? Just to make it clear I don't know why i did it and I don't want to get back with her.

Just be friendly and honest and open with her. Explain that kissing her was a mitake but wasn't her fault and that she shouldn't feel bad about it. Tell her your a little confused right now and just want to be friends. Most girls can handle these things if they know the truth. Be gentle, be kind but tell her straight...and next time try to avoid kissing girls until your sure you know what you want.
Good Luck
