defeated is verified as being by the original poster of the questioni did know std's could be transfered this way was surprised at how many people dont know.
and just so everyone who wants to know herpies can be transfered without having a out break if the carrier is a-symptomatic (known as shedding) they can have it not know it and transfer it on. it usually takes a onset of stress for a outbreak
