A doctor's diagnosis is like a triangle. Like the one that they teach in science class about fire. In order to produce fire, you need three things - heat, oxygen and fuel. A doctor needs three things - his skills, a physical exam, and what you tell him. Like fire, if one side of the triangle is missing, then no fire or a missed diagnosis. So, If you miss out on telling him something that you might think is not important, it might be the one clue that he needed to figure out what's wrong. Write down all your symptoms, when and how often they occur. It could be something to do with your digestive system or your lady bits that you haven't had diagnosed, but having said that, it does take 3 to 6 weeks to heal. Being in SEVERE pain does not sound reasonable to me, and you need to see your own doctor about this, not the surgeon. Explain everything again to a Good General Practitioner, and they will send you to the appropriate specialist. Good Luck and I hope that you are feeling better soon.
