I just want to know what the least painful method of abortion is as i'm terrified of general anaesthetic. If I am under local anaesthetic will I feel anything? Thank you so muchxo

There's no way i could have a baby in this situation, I want to have a future and want to put all of this behind me as a mistake and I know some people wont agree with my decision to end my pregnancy but i know for me it is the right thing to do and maybe have kids in years to come when i have fufilled my ambitions and am more financially and emotionally stable and mature which is important in bringing a kid into this world. In my opinion anyway. I just want to get this all over with and get on with my life.

During and whilst under general anaesthetic you will not be aware of anything or feel anything; but you will experience pain when the anaesthetic is worn off; however your docotr will probably rpescribe a good painkiller; if not, ask for some befor you leve the clininc or hospital.
The abortion pill can still be effective if you are only 8 weeks, but that can be more traumatic and emotional;
I suggest if you do have the choice and the means to have it done under general anestetic at a hospital or clinic; it is the better choice for you;
This is never an easy road to walk; but you are doing what is right and best for your FUTURE;
BE STRONG; my thoughts are with you; lots of HUGS and SMILES

Also do not suffer alone take someone with you a friend or pref an adult. no one should judge you,they should be supportive of your decision and help you.
Take care dear

To the asker of the question, no it shouldn't cause you pain under local anaesthetic. Do please make sure you have considered all the options and implications before you go ahead, and be absolutely certain this is the right route for you to take.
To the others reading this thread and replying, I have already removed several replies. I will continue to remove any that are critical and emotive, and/or generally unhelpful to this girl at such a difficult and emotional time for her. Please think of her feelings before you reply. Thank you.

No, Hunnie,
They don't hurt under a local anaesthetic. You may be aware of some movement down there, but there won't be any pain. You will probably feel some cramping afterwards, but it will feel like your period. They will probably give you a bit of a run down on the procedure when you first go in, like any operation, and they will explain what's going to happen to you. You will need someone to escort you home afterwards and they do tell you not to drive yourself that day. The following day you will feel much more like yourself. The pregnancy symptoms will take a couple of weeks to disappear, as your body still thinks that you are pregnant, and the hormones will take a few weeks to get back to normal.
Good Luck Dear.
