Dear anonymous writer,
Yes a female should get a pap smear if she is on birthcontal, a pap smear shows all the results in a girl if she is sexually active she could catch stds or something and the pap will show it and they can help her, once you get your period you should really go get one done every year and specially if she is sexually active. if she is still a virgin it might slide where she dont but honestly she should ask the obgyn they will know.

yep. you should have a PAP exam every year. It's testing for something completely different (cancer cells), and you need the exam. Some STDs can cause various cancers (paploma virus) and once you're on the pill you are likely sexually active.
While the GYN is taking this test, you should also ask her to do all the standard STD tests too. Likely you don't have anything at all (I never have, but I get tested every year). It's just a good precaution.
A girlfriend of mine came back with an abnormal pap when she was only 22, and they caught cancer really early. Get the test.
