For the last 3 weeks ish I have been feeling so depressed and my mum booked me an appointment for the doctors tomorrow but she can't come with me and I'm scared that the doctor will think I am overreacting because I'm on my own and not take it seriously. I know I need help and I'm going there for support, how can I take it seriously and get the help I need?

rcn agony auntbe honest. doctors who deal with mental behavior, it's a bit harder to fake if something is wrong. It's not like faking a temp. I'm a behavior analyst. What I do is take history's of behaviors and link them all together to find out the cause of behavior. This is part of the reason I remain single. The more I learned the more poor behavior patterns would be like signs flashed in front of my face, even during regular conversations. So a doctor who's trained in depression, even if your laughing will see that as a coping sign because your eyes didn't follow within the same path.

You'll so well at the doctor. Just be honest and tell them what's going on so the proper diagnosis can be made. Take care.
