Heres some background information:Basically i went to college to retake a few GCSE'S i now have 9. I don't know what you call GCSE'S in America but over here there like the final exams you take before you finish school i have them in english, maths, science, additional science, history, art and design, functional english, ICT (computers, and R.S (religious studies) I got 7 C's and 2 B's. (these are all the qualifications i have)I then went on to a receptionist type job in an opticians but the actual position i'm training for is an optical advisor (someone who basically knows a lot about glasses and can advise you on what ones are best for you-and also knows everything about contact lenses with all the receptionist work on top). I hate to give bad news but I doubt you'll be able to move just like that.
You need a company to sponsor you (quite costly for the company) and you need a high degree of qualification.
or
You can immigrate through investment (ie if you've got a couple of million in the bank or if you have a business that will employ at least 5-10 americans on a full time basis)
or
Student Visa (you can stay until your degree is finished)
or
Au Pair Visa (you can usually stay only a year or two)

Hey.
There's alot involved in moving to the US.You need a work visa and an employer who wants to sponsor you. It's pretty hard,as it's expensive.I have been looking into this alot, and reading up on it,and there is alot you need to know before starting to plan your move.
As CaringGuy said, get in touch with the embassy, and they will tell you what you need to do.
There are other ways to get to the States, you can go as an au pair,a working student or similar things like that. That way,you get to know people there, and can find out about more permanent solutions. It's much easier to do when you are actually there, than to be in your own country and look for jobs and such.
Good luck to you,and I hope you find something that will take you to the US.It's a really cool place. :)

I would suggest the first thing you do is speak to someone at the embassy to see what you have to do to qualify. Please don't be put off if they say that it won't happen yet. I tried to emigrate to Canada, but they won't take me because of lack of funding and experience. You need to find out first from someone at the embassy what you have to do to qualify. Good luck to you! :)
