A male reader, anonymous, writes (1 April 2010):

The testicle on the same side as the heart is typically 10% larger than the one further from the heart. The increased weight may make it hang slightly lower.

You should see a doctor: a milder difference may be an early indication of less then perfect functioning of some venous valves; your doctor will check that other indications are not present.

As a nurse it is normal to have one slightly bigger than the other. But if it "fairly" bigger get it checked out. Even for the peace of mind that this might be normal for you.

It's normal to have on bigger than the other. However, if you're worried about it at all, it's worth speaking to a doctor to get checked.

If you're still concerned, then just get your GP to give your testicles a quick check-up.
