I was quite sexually active with my last boyfriend so it wasn't my first time. HOWEVER, when having sex with my boyfriend today I bled a little bit. Now I would have naturally assumed it was my hymen breaking except I wasn't a virgin and I know my hymen broke ages ago when I had sex with my ex for the first time because I bled a little then. I also know it's got nothing to do with their size because the hymen is towards the outside. I know you can sometimes bleed if you are forced but I wasn't forced one bit, although he was rougher than my ex but it only hurt at the start and I soon got used to it. Afterwards he kept asking if I was a virgin before him and he kept reassuring me that he didn't mind if I was but I honestly wasn't. I'd had sex more than once with my ex. I told him this but he laughed and said "Babe, don't lie, I popped your cherry." which confused me so he showed me the little bit of blood on the condom. According to him I bled a little at the start but that was all. He soon believed me and we tried to work out for ages what it could've been but couldn't. Does anybody have ANY idea what went on there? Did my hymen break again? Is that even possible?? Do I maybe need to get checked out?Any advice/help would be appreciated because I have no idea what's going on!

Actually xoxolost, some adult women's bodies are able to repair the hymen after it is damaged (all of us have this ability in childhood).

I'm thinking maybe it was because he was rougher than I'm used to also I am due a period soon so it could be a bit of both.
I did think it was impossible for the hymen to reheal that's why I was so confused.
I'm going to wait a week or so now before having sex with him again just to make sure anything that was wrong has a chance to heal.
Thanks again for your help! :)

There are many reasons, a bit rough sex, infection, cervical erosions, polyps, period due etc.
I would just wait a little while till you have sex again (and be extra gentle!) but if it happens again, go to your GP/Sexual health clinical, just to make sure everything is ok.

I don't think it would be anything too serious, maybe just because he was a little rougher but it never hurts to get it checked out.
