Yes you probably did start your period. 14 is Not to young to start your period if that's what you're thinking and just because you're mom started at 16, doesn't mean you will to. I started when I was 10 so, it's different for everyone. Yes it's your period though.

 Sounds like it could be...you should tell your mum! She can advise you better than anyone on here because you will be able to discuss things properly with her.  You probably started your period. Because a lot of girls start there period around the age of 10 but not *all* Like three days into my period I pass on a brown substance too. If your that worried about it you should tell your mom about it. Instead of strangers lol
