Okay so I'm going to ask the same question that I asked last time about 3-4 weeks ago becuase I really don't think I gave enough detail and no one really gave me an answer I was looking for.

So, my question was can a virgin pass on STD's? Because someone told me before that some STD's are all ready there in your system just dormant kind of thing.

So me and my bf have had no sexual relationships before ours now and he hasn't given anyone oral or recieved and same for me. Also we haven't used needles or drugs.

Is there any other way to catch an STD because there are so many different stories and rumours that I'm really confused.

So is it possible?

possible but rare if you have STD's in you family or if your mum or dad had them them yes you could pass them. if you have come in contact with someones blood that has them you could pass them. best thing to do is get yourself checked out then you can be sure hope this helps

Generally speaking a virgin is someone who's never had penetrative sex. This means that they can't get STDs.However,as a virgin one needs to be careful and conscious with your member especially when you play alot with it with your partner such as rubbing each other's parts. There's always a risk of infection when two genital areas are in close proximity, provided one is infected and there are some STIs that can be found in the vagina not as a result of penetrative sex.Check out the site posted by peaches83.

Good luck

jm81690 agony auntHerpes can carry that way, but I don't know of any others.

If your boyfriend uses protection you guys should be fine.

You've both gone down on each other, if you didn't see any sores you're probably good to go.

A female reader, cd206 United Kingdom +, writes (16 December 2007):

cd206 agony auntWhen people say STDs can lie dormant in your system they are talking about the herpes simplex virus that causes cold sores, shingles and genital herpes. If you have never had a cold sore of shingles then you're not infected with the herpes simplex virus. If you have had either of the above you're still fine, as long as you don't touch your cold sore/shingles spots and then your genitals. The only way a virgin or non virgin could transmit this to their partner is through oral sex with a coldsore or physically rubbing a shingles spot anywhere near their partner's genitals. The same is true of warts. If you had a wart on your knee for example, you could transmit this by touching yours or your partner's genitals after touching the wart. However, transmission in all of these cases is very rare and can always be avoided by using a condom.
