 You've already received other kind of advice. I may add my two cents: If any of those penis-enlarging creams or stuff worked, then many men would be happy to *SHOW* the world their great achievement. Since that doesn't happen, you know what to expect from them.

 There are many different products which claim to increase the size of the penis but in reality the only way is an operation which is really unnecessary and i wouldn't even consider putting yourself through it.
The problem lies within yourself you say you are shy with regard to the size of your penis but once you really get to know someone and you have feelings for each other it will not matter in the slightest what size you are and oral sex is just as good at times it is not all about the penis try to be a bit more inventive if you aren't already.
Have you had bad relationship problems? Just i notice you are in your 30's and if you were in a happy relationship i think this wouldn't be an issue.
If your problem is solely due to your own hang-ups and not one which has been inflicted on you (maybe you have broken up with someone and they have said hurtful things but if someone knows you have this worry they will use it at these times it doesn't necessarily mean it actually believe it or it made a difference to them they just know your insecurities)im sure within the right relationship this problem you are feeling will seem so insignificant.
I think it is just a male ego you all think that us women prefer a big penis just as women yearn for decent sized breasts but if we really care for the man it honestly does not matter and sex can be good whether large or small believe me. Would it really bother you what size your partners breasts were you may have an ideal but when you love someone you couldn't careless!
It is all media hype and egos getting out of hand.
If you really feel you need some extra help maybe you should speak to your doctor or a councellor could help with your insecurities but 4" is not that far away from the average penis size i honestly wouldn't worry it is only your partner who is going to see it anyway.
