when my ex girlfriend broke up with me she did it in person. it still was hard but doing it face to face makes you look less weak. and it makes it easier to get over, because all questions can get out all at once. it will hurt either way.

It is a cold way of doing things. If thats how you want to seem then go for it, but he will resent you more for doing that.
Be brave and do it in person, somewhere you can chat quietly and privately.

 I agree with sparkles, you could do it over the phone, but i woulden't advise this either.
Would you want to be dumped over the phone?. Give this guy some respect and arrange to meet him so you can tell him face to face. In the long run he will come to respect you for that.

Of course you can do what you want.. however i woiuld not advise that you break up with this guy over the phone. There are many reasons for this firstly it will make you seem heartless and you will get stick off of everyone who knows about the sittuation and secondly if you had enough respect to date this guy in the first place surely he deserves the same respect with you finishing with him. I suggest that you talk to him face to face. Good luck.
