hmmm... i'd say buy the light flow kind. they tend to be pretty small. but i know what you mean... i learned how to put a tampon in two years ago and wore them a lot to go swimming, but i stopped wearing them after that, and now i can't seem to remember how to put one in! i think i used to squat (that whole one leg up thing never really worked for me) but i dont know...
if you come up with some great trick, please let me know!

Dear reader i started my period 4 years ago and still i havent got the hang of tampons. I dont like them so i dont use them. every women is diffrent so you just need to find the right sanitary product that works for you. If you like sanitary towels then use them. Dont worry if you dont get on with tampons, not all women do. So dont worry.

You could also be nervous, etc, but I think you should talk to a dr.

If you are concerned or if pads are not a viable alternative you may want to speak to a doctor or gynecologist about your situation. He or she can probably offer additional advice :)

Have I got something wrong with me?

Just wondering , What size are you wearing?? You might need to use a smaller size. Remember that you should just relax and push the outer tube of the applicator fullly into the inner applicater.Point the applicator towards your lower back. This should not hurt and be comfortable. If you have a problem refer to the directions inside the box. Most girls can wear a tampoon. If the tampoon wont go in easily bc it feels to tight, Try a smaller size. If you are using a super absorbent tampoon then try and use a regular flow, There smaller in the thickness so it would be easier if you are trying to use a regular trying using a light, but if your flow is heavier then you might have to wear a panty protector and change the tampoon more often then if you were to use a bigger size.

you just need to relax when you put it in. and be in the right position. it may be helpful to read the instructions too. as obvious as it sounds.
