Clarification... age of consent is 16 in the UK but 18 in the USA and other parts of the world.... this may have caused some confusion in the responses given.

i'm in full agreement with you being amazed that anyone would question WHY you need the pill. Full marks for taking the responsible option of the Pill to protect you from unwanted pregnancy.
But also remember that you do also need condoms to protect you from STD as unless you are privy to the latest blood tests a guy has had and his full sexual history you can still be at risk of a STD. And ensure that putting it on is a seamless part of your loveplay so that it is not a chore to put it on.
If a guy is new in your life then you really do not know who he has been connecting with. Guys who refuse a condom in such circumstances are selfish.
And STD including AIDS can affect anyone.

OP, just visit your doctor and let them know that you're going away on a trip and need enough pills to cover you, they'll just give you another prescription.

you will either need to take a trip to the doctor before you go on holiday to get your repeat prescription early, OR abstain from sex until you get back and can go and get them when you return.
It's very simple, you just have to be prepared and think ahead.

The same way as you usually get your pills. You don't have to wait till your packet has finished to get some more. Go to your GP/nurse - whoever usually prescribes your pills, have your check up, before you go.

Go to see your doctor to get a repeat prescription. The pill is free, and going to see your GP is something you should do before you run out each time. All your GP will want to do is test your blood pressure, as the pill can affect this from time to time.

A

Get an extra prescription (in case you lose your tablets), plus ensure you have a letter from the Doctor (so that any overseas customs inspectors knows that these are your legally prescribed tablets). And purchase enough packets of the tablets before you leave so that will not run out.
Enjoy your trip

You can set up a thing with the chemists whereby you just pop in on a certain day each month and pick up what you need without having to get a perscription each month. You need to make sure you have them, go to the surgery now and ask about it.
