You can get pregnant if when you first ovulate, sperm happens to be present. Your first ovulation, comes before your first period. (Halu got it COMPLETLY wrong, sad to know a woman doesn't know her own cycle works)
Ovulation is when the egg is released, your period is when the egg and tissue is discarded.
And girls can start this very young indeed. Don't have sex without protection.

As all the other aunts have said - it varies massively and depends on the individual person. So you can assume that basically as soon as you have unprotected sex then there is a good chance you can get pregnant, regardless of age.
Always use birth control to prevent pregnancies, and use a condom to prevent STD's and as back-up for the birth control. Then you will always be covered and never have to worry about getting pregnant or getting an STD.

As soon as a girl is producing enough female sex hormones to release a ripe egg she can get pregnant, Remember, that you won't know when this is - your 1st egg will ripen and be released BEFORE your 1st period. In the average girl it's between the ages of 10 & 14 but as the other aunties have said it can be much much earlier.
There are report of girls who've gotten pregnant before their 1st period because the very 1st egg they released got fertilised. They didn't think that could happen so they didn't bother using protection. And they didn't realise they were pregnant because they didn't have periods to stop.
ALWAYS use a condom

It depends a lot on the girl and her genes as well, so it varies from girl to girl. Earliest recorded pregnancy was a 5 year old (pedophilia case). Many 11 year olds I've hear of getting pregnant. Once you hit the teens, girls seem to get pregnant a lot!
Bottom line is: you don't know exactly. It could happen, and it also could not happen.

Anytime she ovulates (which can be right before she gets her first period) which could be as young as 5 or 6 on very rare occasions...
