Are my brother's friends really his friends...?

well i have a older bother and we were having a conversation or argument about who his freinds are i told them the meaning of having freinds well he said he has freinds who are his freinds but he does not know where they live there number and he has not seen them in the last 4 years! also i told him freinds are people who you can call to hang out out you can talk to or there there for you in a important moment or there to help you with your problem but with there freinds josh and dj (not there real names) they dont do that kind of stuff im mean for pete sakes they dont even cant stay in contact are they really freinds or is my bro just indenial that there freinds any answer will be fantastic!

hlskitten agony auntSounds like the people your bro are talking about are aquaintances. Those are different from friends. And people that you hang out with in the pub aren't always real friends either if thats the only thing you do with them.

Real friends are few and far between and are people you can actually have a coffee with and talk about your woes or listen to theirs. Whether thats family or friends. Most people haven't got time to maintain those sort of friends, especially females with family and kids to look after, thats why they are few and far between.

Thats my 2 penneth worth anyway.
