Welcome to womanhood! You've got your first period, I'm pretty sure. The colors you described are all quite normal, you typically go from a brighter red to a darker brownish color as a few days pass.
At your age, you can expect that the periods may be irregular, and you might not have one again for a couple of months. It's normal and nothing to worry about. A typical period lasts for 4-7 days, but it's not unusual to have shorter or longer periods. A woman generally settles into a regular schedule varying anywhere from 24-32 days, with 26-28 being the norm. But it may take a while to get regular, and by that I mean months or even years.
You may experience some cramping, this is common too. Tell your mother or a trusted female relative if you think the cramping feels too severe. There are some over the counter medicines that can help. Also staying physically active and avoiding too much caffeine is a good idea.
Congratulations on your new status!

Sounds normal to me.
Hey! Ask your Mum. It's what she's there for. This is a time when all girls need their Mum.

Yep it sounds like a period all right!
Blood may appear brownish then turn red then back to brown when your period is ending.
& having a continuous flow of blood is normal but what's normal for girls when they start having their periods can be anything! It will be a bit all over the place for the first 2-3 years & then it will settle.
I suggest telling your mum or a guardian about this & I'm sure they'll be all chuffed for you, lol!
Good luck x
