Am I asking for trouble moving nearer to his ex?

A female Ireland age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Me and my on off boyfriend are thinking about moving out somewere different, he wants to move down the country to where his ex girlfriend lives. Now me and his ex used to be mates like she told me she and him where bests friends and while we were together she was sleeping with him, I never felt so hurt and I know you must think i'm stupid but I've given him a second chance but he wants to move down there and its ME whos paying for the flat we're movin into and I'd like to go to Scotland or something because I just dont want to stay in Ireland for the rest of my life. Don't get me wrong I love Ireland but I want to see the world I want my boyfriend to be with me. Should we move nearer his ex???

Since he was sleeping with you and her at the same time, I don't think this is a good idea. Why bring someone who has created trouble before back into your life? Better not to. And as you say, you're the one paying as well.

Nope you shouldn't and if he really loved you he wouldn't want to move closer to his ex. I know its hard and you probably won't do it but you should find someone else. There is true love to be found out there
