With the second I got two small strecthmarks and kept some extra weight around the waist and the labour was 100% EASIER and less painful than the first. I felt like a pro at delivering. It is sooo much easier and you know what to expect and how to handle it. You will also know that the end will come and the baby will be there soon. Good luck.

But I don't know what to think since her first born was premature (It was smaller). It was a boy and the second a girl. But I read boys have a bigger cranium and therefore are more difficult to give birth to than girls. I'm inclined to conclude that the boy being premature worked to her advantage if we are talking about the amount of pain during labor.

I only have the one child but I don't have a single stretch mark and I attribute that to using lotion every day. My nurse told me to do this. I used Vaseline Intensive Care with Vitamin E.

I had an 8 pound son and then a ten pound daughter. I actually noticed more differences the first time! The second pregnancy, although it was the equivalency of a twin birth, was actually a bit easier to deal with because I was so much more relaxed and comfortable. I could have done without her shoulders, however! I actually enjoyed both births, but was far less scared the second time.
I have noticed that since I have gone through menopause I have noticed a bit of discomfort with the episiotomy scar tissue, so if you have a midwife that knows how to help your peretoniem to stretch, it would be a beneficial. I also found that after nursing for 28 months in total, my breast health has been very good. Hope this helped and all the best Dear!

My mom had five children and she got stretch marks but if you use lotion and excercise, they'll be les noticable. It's not that it gets easier on the second child, its more like you know what's going on and you know how hard its going to be.

But if you are prone to getting them you must apply cocoa butter or vitamin E for scar prevention religiously before, during and after the pregnancy in order to prevent them.
And my mom said that her first birth was way more painful than her second. But my sister was also a much bigger baby than me. So that depends too.
Anyways, congratulations and good luck.
