Im around your friends age. And at the moment i am falling for a 16 year old..and i feel the same as you so that probabaly helps as we are in a similar situation. I dont think that there is anything wrong with dating a younger girl, just remember that you cant have sex with her because she is not legal yet, but if you are happy with that then go for it!!

I understand that sometimes older guys have feelings for younger girls, but right now 13 is too young to have sex, because too many people at this age are not mature enough to handle this. Maybe wait till she is just a little bit older, but right now i would say just be friends. Just make sure her parents are okay with it.

But if she is in all these respects not a "child" then you have both the moral and legal ethics here.
1. She is YOUNG and does not have any proper experience in how to have a relationship. Don't expect a mutually lovingly perfect relationship. Sheesh, she still needs a good 10 years to really mature in to her womanly-self.
2. A girls first love forms a big impression about men, security and relationships for many years to come. If you lie or let this girl down after allowing her to fall for you then perhaps you deserve to be punished?
2. If you are ever charged for statuarory rape you become some kind of "sub-human" disease of society in this climate. In the UK they tend to try and protect your identity but don't they in America post you picture and address up on the internet in some states so you're easy game to any red-beck vigilante to come and punish you? God bless America!

No its not wrong that you have feelings for her. Young girls these days usually look a lot older than their years. No offense but a 17 year old male and a 13 year old female are probably at about the same mental level with each other too.
It would be wrong however to have sex with her as its against the law and shes just too young to be making decisions like that.
Age differences make little difference as people get older so maybe waiting a little while would help, maybe until shes 14 or 15.
