A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

At a party a drunk married woman cuddled up with another man on a sofa, unbuttoned his shirt and rubbed his bare chest with her hand for quite some time. Her husband saw this and said and did nothing. What is your opinion of the wife? The husband?

Tisha-1 agony auntI personally wouldn't invite them to any more of my parties!

The wife obviously has some self-control issues, with being drunk and essentially fondling another man.

The husband, I don't know. Maybe he didn't want to have a scene at the party, maybe he doesn't mind, maybe he was blotto too and so just didn't really see it.

Sounds like there's a lot more to the story.

Opinion for the husband: Maybe Drunk..maybe not, knew his wife was drunk, not wanting to start an arguement left it alone, maybe they were together but split..if you know what i mean... idk but those are my opinions.

A female reader, x-kitycatlok-x United Kingdom +, writes (1 April 2008):

x-kitycatlok-x agony auntThe wife: She is old enough to not cheat even when drunk. She should be able to control herself. That is just wrong. Wrong on so many levels. She's a grown woman! Who's married! She should be able to control herself.

The husband: How could he let her get away with this? She's basically cheating on him! He shouldn't be so forgiving! He needs to punish her for it! It doesn't matter if she was drunk or not. As I've already said, she is an adult who is fully capable of looking after herself. The husband seems like a nice guy though.

Wishing you the best.
