reader, anonymous, writes (10 January 2009): Nothing wrong at all. I'm 53, my last boyfriend was 41, and the man I went out with before him was 28! If you are both ok with the age difference, then it's just fine. Have fun and rejoice that you found someone you are happy with.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 January 2009): No way is there anything wrong with it. Age shouldn't be a factor. Does she have kids? If not will you want kids, and in a timely manner before she can't bare them, or could be sooner than you want. Age shouldn't be a problem as long as you work out ahead of time some of the issues that may come up. I know a 40 yr old who is dating a 27 yr old, and right now the only issue is that he is concerned that her kids are closer in age to him than he is to her. My sister is 53 and she is dating a 30 year old. they have been together for 5 years.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 January 2009): Its not wrong at all! My male friend at 26 married his 42 year old girlfriend and after 4 years area atill together. Its more about the timing. If she's 36 and does not have children, she will be wanting children withing the next couple of years. Be realistic. There is nothing wrong with it though. At 26 you're a grown man and you should do whatever truly makes you happy.
