I am 15 and i don't feel like a normal teen boy i don't play sports nor watch them (i'd rather watch cartoons) I don't try to go out with girls or anything im just nerdy and quiet and im the only child so im used to being lonely and to me i feel like i'll be normal if i just play a sport like football because im actually doing something boyish and hanging with boys, i feel like it'll make my parents proud coming out to a game streaming my name saying go, it seems like that will be nice and my dad he has friends whose kids play sports and i wanna make him proud like the other dads because i don't do anything and he knows it sometimes and i can tell he wonders, he use to play sports and i wonder why i don't but the thing is i don't know nothing about sports except running (i believe I do that because i can run) but i wanna play football it make me feel like a tough man, i feel like if i play football i would be considered a boy but im shy and anti-social and don't like being in front of people and i wont like being at places like football practice because boys talk about people and play to much and it would bother me (i need help, i feel like i would be more of a boy if i played a sport but i try to tell myself im just not made for that), what should i do?

fishdish agony aunton a different note, my dad has never really been a sportsy guy, i don't think he's ever played a sport? and one of my sisters got him into watching football. it's still not really his scene too much, i think he does it to bond with her. I LIKE unsportsy guys, and I don't know if that's just cause I'm also unathletic, liked the cartoons and videogames myself for..well still do! and i know a lot of girls are into the athletic build or mentality but that is DEFINITELY not my qualities i look in a man. I look for kindness, a great sense of humor, and passion in SOMETHING; do you like drawing? photography? acting? Maybe you can find a hobby that you think you'll find rewarding that the masculinity issue will fall to the wayside because your confidence will go up and that's usually when the ladies notice you..

I am a 15 year old girl and I know what it's like to feel like a disappointment to your parents, I am like the rebel in the family I have four siblings and they are all going to great universitys and have plans for the rest of their lives while the only thing I have going for me is the band that I'm in and im not even sure we're that good, but just be yourself, it's so much more fun, i promise, your parents will love you no matter what!

Good Luck, unless you really like football dont join it because it is a crap load of work (my brother Fynn played football for years and he was aching all over) and if its not fun you'll just get up set
