Are you by any chance recieving any signs, for example, breast development, under arm hair, pubic hair or discharge ? these signs usually indicate that you are getting ready to start your periods. It may be your weight, it all depends because I have been checked upon and i am under weight by quite a bit. I have been told by my GP that i am in proportion as i am a petite girl, so bound to be underweight. Just make sure your eating the right foods and exercise regulary. Your periods are sure to come soon, but if your still worried visit your local doctor (try for a female doctor as she will understand much more) and why not talk to your mum about your problems, shes been through it too !x Anyway hope Ive helped, Good Luck ! =)

Everyone is different, so stop worrying and i bet they will start. I wouldnt be in a hurry to have them, mine have just stopped, thank god, yippee!!! A lifetime of pain and misery over, so dont be in such a hurry, it doesnt just last a couple of years.
take care

Maybe that has something to do with it, maybe not. Maybe your body hasn't matured yet. Some girls don't start their periods until their late teens, but if you're worried, see a doctor.
It does look as if you need to put some weight on though, and I'm sure a doctor or nutritionist could fix you up with a suitable diet. I don't know if you have any eating disorders, but I suspect that may be a possibility, or you wouldn't have asked the question the way you did. Again, a doctor is the person to consult.

I was 5'7" and 110 pounds at 14 and finally got my period late that year. I actually had one period at age 9, and then didn't have a regular cycle until 14. So, it varies quite a bit from girl to girl. If you read back into the related questions: period, you can see how many girls have started at different ages. Don't worry, you will get yours soon!
The fact that you are a bit underweight could have a big effect on when you start your period. Female athletes stop menstruating when their body fat levels go way down. The reason is this is that nature is telling your body that you aren't able to get enough food, and therefore, you might not get enough food to feed a child too, so the body puts fertility on hold until you get a bit more of a fat store on your body.
My Doctor actually put me on a diet to gain weight around age 14, lots of whole wheat bread, fresh juices and proteins. If you have any concerns, you should talk with your Mom about this. She can also tell you about your family history and at what age most of the females started their periods and what size they were at your age. I'm sure you'll find that they are pretty similar to you and that they all did get their periods around the same age. You could also ask her to see a Doctor if that would put your mind at ease, but I really think it's just a matter of time. Hope this helped. Take care Sweetie!
