I say they look very tacky; especially worn without a shirt over them, and most girls think as I do. So this is where you all come in. I'm only wanting girls/women to answer; boys won't count! Do you like the "wife beater" t-shirts on guys? Or do you prefer regular t-shirts with sleeves? Thanks for the answers, a total body massage is what's at stake! Reply to this Question Share |

I don't care how built a guy is, they are embarassing, low class, shows a lack of respect really for others who managed to put a shirt on.
There is nothing more unappatizing than looking at a guy's armpit hair while you are eating, and he is sitting there with a fork in his hand pretending to have manners.

Wife beaters on guys who are built look totally hot in them but a guy who has way to much flab definitely SHOULD NOT wear them

Um, 'wife beater' t-shirts in most contexts are tacky. Seriously tacky. The message it sends is, "don't take me seriously, I'm just a muscle-head who thinks this is appropriate attire outside the gym. I'm too lazy to figure out a better outfit. Oh, and I have an overinflated opinion of myself."
Honestly, I think t-shirts with sleeves are okay, provided they don't have some ridiculous artwork on them.
I actually prefer something with a collar and sleeves, I think that looks much more elegant and classier.

Well,yes and not.
I admit that catching the occasional sight of a well built construction worker in his wife beater is sort of a mood enhancer :). It just brightens my day, lol. But if I ever had to date and go out with someone who thinks that wife beaters constitute a proper social attire ....well,thanks but no thanks.
It's a bit like with a male stripper with waist-length hair. Is he eye catching ? Yes. Would I like to have him beside me , day in day out ? No.

But admittedly those guys are eye candy... not sure I'd date a wife-beater wearer! LOL
