A age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hey there.

So I've had sex before--several times. With a handful of different partners. My current partner and I have been struggling though. I often have to stop early and am sore afterward. He is very well endowed and it's getting hard. I also have a tough time staying adequately wet.

I was wondering of lubricant would help this. But I've never used lube before, so I'm kind of nervous. How is it used?

And what brands would you suggest that can be bought at my local grocery store?

Thanks a bunch!

A female reader, chigirl Norway +, writes (14 June 2011):

chigirl agony auntYou buy lube close to anywhere where you can buy condoms. Lubricant is just some sticky stuff that you take on your fingers and then rub down the opening and on the penis.

It works wonders when you're not well enough lubricated yourself, which you need to be when dealing with a well endowed man.

I still recommend you go slow and test it out. Even if you use lubricant, you still need time to adjust to the size, and also you have to try out what positions work and what doesn't work. Lubricant will just help make it easier, but it won't take away the problem itself. That takes time. So go slow, and take breaks, use lots of lubricant (have a towel underneath you if you worry about it getting too slippery).

So_Very_Confused agony auntI'll vote for WET too but

Astroglide works well too

and while more expensive I love KY Intrigueit's got a very nice feel to it... more silky... feels more like natural lubrication .

oh and all are available at Walmart.

Drew21 agony auntYeah, i have to agree with Athena.

My wife and i had an issue like this. At first we used Lube and it helped, but finally my wife just told me "more foreplay required".

Since then, we haven't had to touch the lube!

A female reader, RedAthena United States +, writes (14 June 2011):

RedAthena agony auntYep, get one specifically for sexual intimacy. Look for ones that are silicone based which are longer lasting. One of the long lasting brands is called "WET".

Read the instructions, but you want to put it on HIM and where ever you feel sore from friction. Size really has nothing to do with it. It is because there is not a barrier between the two surfaces rubbing.

He needs to spend more time ADEQUATELY arousing you as well and you will provide more of your own natural lube.

Being good lovers is something you achieve together. Make sure he is involved in the purchasing and application!
