I know it won't be high level, but I'm panicking because I had to do an IVA because my boyfriend left me in severe debt. Will this show up on it? I'm so worried :(

It depends on what the job position is. If it is for the Police Force then you will not be employed if you have had a IVA in the last 3 years. If your new job if related to accounting and/or money then it is likely to be an issue. If your job is not dependant on financial responsibility then it shouldn't be a problem. I don't know if you are legally required to disclose you have an IVA but my advice is that you should be honest and open on any application forms, or during interviews, but only disclose it IF you are directly asked about having been bankrupt/CCJ's or IVA's.

Security vetting might or might not include the debt (depends whether they think you'd be open to bribes).
I would have thought, however, that they will be looking more into your criminal record and other such records (medical, university/education etc).
An IVA is not a criminal offence, it just means that you're condensing your debts and sorting them out. I don't think that will have an effect, unless they think think you'd be open to bribery (which I doubt they will)
I don't think you need to worry at all.
