k_c100 agony auntThe eating disorders will indeed interfere unless you get treatment for them. If you enter into a relationship with someone then if they really like you I dont think it would be a problem that you have the eating disorder, but if you are not getting treatment then this could become a problem.

When you are in a relationship with someone you care about them so much and only want to see that person happy and healthy, and you worry about their well-being, espeically if they are not well. So if you did have a boyfriend then he would be very worried about you as eating disorders are very serious and can be fatal, so that is why it would be an issue but I dont think it would stop anyone wanting to be with you.

If you get a boyfriend he will want to take care of you, he will want to help you overcome your issues with food. So in return you really would have to try you hardest to get better, which would mean getting treatment and putting 100% effort into getting better.

Having an eating disorder is a horrible thing, and I can only imagine that it is very hard for you to deal with. The most sensible thing you can do is to stay on your own for a while and get treatment for your eating disorder, otherwise if you enter into a relationship this will only add more stress into your life and your focus will not be on yourself, and that is not going to help in this situation.

Get better, and then you can start to think about relationships.

I hope this helps and good luck
