I don't think his reaction to your text was a good sign.
Maybe a bit dismissive.
Delete his number! If he calls, I suspect it will be out of the blue and late at night. Don't answer, or block his number. Follow your gut.
Take a pass on this guy. Sounds like a jerk.

A lot of people end up doing things like this so don't feel down-hearted.
Some people will exchange numbers and then not bother to reply to the person for whatever reason. Some of them just can't be bothered, some of them have second thoughts later on, and tbh there are hundreds of reasons why someone might decide not to reply to someone they met not that long ago.
I had this guy once who gave me his number, and then after we texted for a bit he just went quiet on me, and then the next time I saw him he acted like I wasn't there, but I didn't take it personally because people just do them things.
So I would recommend you get rid of his number, and just brush this little incident off and hopefully in the future you'll find someone who is worth texting in the first place.
