She would rather meet up there (which isn't exactly centretown). It's a little confusing. Why on earth wouldn't she want me to pick her up? If she takes the bus, it'll take much longer. Any ideas??? We've know each other a while and I've picked her up countless times in the past. This is our third "date". It just struck me this time and it had me wondering why. I was a pretty prudent driver. I didn't speed or do anything scary (at least I don't think I did).
I think it's an independence thing. She's a very independent woman. Thanks again for your insight!

Did you drive her anywhere on your first date?
If so then it could be that you scared her with your driving.
Other than that, she maybe just doesn't want you knowing where she lives, or maybe her parents don't know she is dating.
She will have a reason so just leave her to it.

 She probably doesnt want you to think that she needs you to be running around after her - she will just want to show that she is independent and doesnt need a man to do things for her.
And if it is only your second date then she still doesnt know you well enough to be getting in the car with you I'm afraid! I know it sounds mean but for their own safety, girls tend not to get in cars with guys they dont know very well. There are all sorts of nasty men out there (I know your probably not one of them but you can never tell until you know someone better!) and she is just making sure she will be safe.
I'm sure that on the next date, or after a few more dates, she will let you pick her up and take her home too! She just needs to get to know you better first!
