lexilou agony auntIf he goes through pain daily then that would explain about not making a fuss, his pain killers will be taking care of his finger too. I have neck and back problems which I live with daily, my neck is hurting now and I have lived with back problems which can be severe enough so i cant move for weeks or cause me sciatica on a daily basis (shooting pains down my leg) for 15 years. You do learn to live with it and learn not to complain, a lot of people dont understand back pain because you cant see the problem. I have acupuncture when my necks really bad and the only thing for my back is surgery to remove a damaged disc but I wont opt for this until i think its necessary. I dont take pills unless my back 'goes' otherwise I would rattle!

Its lovely that you care, just be there for him and help him out when you can and if you want to let him know you are worried then he may talk to you about it x

saltwater agony auntlexilou, pack it in :P

We are dying when we have a cold...

Don't worry about. lex is right, men don't like don't going the doctor or hospital. He is right though, nothing really can be done except keeping it strapped tight.

I'm sure if it was serious he would go and see a professional. Just strap it tight and wait. They usually only take a couple of months to heal properly.

lexilou agony auntWell he is right, unless its a really bad break and hanging off backwards and dislocated they will just strap him up after keeping him waiting for hours and hours and send him on his way. Men dont like to make a fuss when they have a real pain or illness, and rarely see doctors or take pills. Its only when they get man flu that they think they are dying when really its just a cold!!! xxxx
