A female reader, Wise_little_elf  +, writes (11 March 2012):

Wise_little_elf agony auntIt's obvious this lady is bitter over something, maybe something not even to do with you. Maybe she thinks she is better than you because she was higher in the rank at work, some people leave success go to their heads. The best thing for you do to do is pass her with her with your head held high, you may not have as much money or as good a job as her but that doesn't make a person. Job's and money don't last forever, a good person with a good heart does. Have your pride an dignity, let her have her ignorance.
