If I'm talking to his friends he will either go sit by himself or he will sit off to the side and wait for me to leave. There was a seat open right in front of me in his group of friends and when he finally came over after hesitating he sat in the other row. His friends don't act like this around me. Why does he act like this around me? Reply to this Question Share |

maybe he thinks you need space? Maybe he is really attracted to you and runs, maybe you smell? who knows.
Ask him - say "hi why don't come sit next to me?" or wait for him to sit and then go sit next to him.

Maybe he likes you and doesnt know how to handle it? There is obviously some reason behind it, from what youve descibed its no coincidence so why not be the bigger person take the big step and talk to him. Simply ask him. Some people find it difficult to express what they want you to know and there behavior and attitude reflects this but it can cause confusion so the best method you can use is to talk to him, be paitent and genuine with him.
