writes: i havnt had a period for 4 months and i dont know why, normally i come on around the 3rd. 4th. of every month, but i havnt been on, march will is now the 5th month!! my last one was november which was normal. my boyfriend thought i was pregnant :S but im not!! and i dont know why theyve suddenly stopped, has anyone got any idea's?

i still havnt had a period nealry half a year i havnt been on. ive been reading on the internet and nothing there suggests why it may have happened. the underweight and over weight thing :S im 5 ft 5 and 11 stone, a i overweight? could that be the reason. i am goin to the doctors on tuesday i dont wanna wait aroud any longer. thanks again guys x

Get a test took hun. Just to confirm your not, if your not go to your doctor and tell him the problem. It could be when you started it, it would be stress, diet, weight. It could be many things. x

if you have already taken a test then take another one... No even better go see your doctor... The results from the doctors are always right!! I think you're pregnant!

reader, anonymous, writes (9 March 2008): In any case, please take a pregnancy test. It's the only way to really know for sure whether you're pregnant or not.And if you aren't, it could be something else, like what LJ001 described. If you're still worried, go see a gynecologist.

reader, anonymous, writes (9 March 2008): I agree with LJ001, you may be pregnant or you just havent settled into a regular routine with your periods. Either way I would go to your doctors and discuss it. She can then give you a pregnancy test to put your mind at ease. I also believe the more stressed and worried you are about your period coming it can sometimes take longer in your cycle. Good luck.

If you're totally sure you're not, then the other option I would say is, have you started having periods less than a year ago? Usually your periods are all over the place for the first year of starting them, so this could be the case here.
