Why has he had the sudden change of heart?

Question - (22 November 2007) 3 Answers - (Newest, 23 November 2007)
A female United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Me and my partner of 3 years broke up sometime last year, I suspect he had met someone because he soon after started dating her. Well, for a whole year we remained friends and every so often he continued to tell me I should move on everytime I suggested getting back together. Enough was enough so I stopped all contact with him and moved on for a few months. After a couple of weeks he tries contacting me again, constantly and he now says he wants to get back together. Why has he had the sudden change of heart?
