Why does he want to see me?

this guy and i split up because it seemed as if his interest in me was no longer there, he wasnt makking the effort. Its been a little while now but now hes talking to me again he wants to see me but i can't work out why. does he just want to meet as friends or does he miss me? he just cell messages me asking how i am every now and then and then we get into a conversation. I'm never the one to start messaging him its always him and every time he does he always says 'so why havent we met up yet?'. i still have feelings for him but i know he has other girls now. i'm just trying to work ouut why he wants to meet? help! thank you
