Sometimes it'll be a little more often than that and I was just curious as to why he has to constantly say my name all the time. So why does he repeat my name in texts?

It can give a sense of connection and closeness, and make it seem that you really do have the other person's attention. At least, this is how it makes me feel when my friend says my name in texts. I have to admit that I don't tend to do this myself though!

I use my girlfriends name when I text her sometimes. Just be thankful he is putting your name and not someone elses!

I would suggest he's trying to do something similar in a relationship context - maybe without even being conscious of it - making his texts feel more caring and sweet and making it clear that he's personalizing the message to you and no-one else. He sounds like a good communicator which is quite rare especially amongst younger guys!

Ten out of thirty four is about one in three. I don't see that as being particularly frequent or infrequent. It doesn't sound like he is doing it constantly. Perhaps you are trying to read into something that isn't there.

Maybe he likes the sound of it or... he hasn't found a nick-name for you yet.
