I feel stuck and don't know how to get myself motivated to move forward and towards the things I know are best for me. I want to make the right changes, so why don't I? It's as though I keep waiting for something to come along that will just make things happen ...so I won't have to make a choice at all...I truly don't want to be a victim of circumstance do I? ...yuck! I just had a funny thought about baby steps from What about Bob.
Seriously though, start with some small decisions and grow them from there. Like, decide to change the drapes or something. Change your wardrobe, or rearrange the furniture. Just be decisive about the change. Then graduate yourself into whatever change you need to make.
Practice makes perfect. Practice make small decisions then the big ones will come easier.

I also agree in tossing a coin - I did that a few weeks ago and it seems to have worked itself out.

Your a victim of indecision. Toss a coin and stick to a choice. No matter if it's good or bad, it's a choice, a direction that moves somewhere.
What are the changes you want to make?
Write them down, pick the easiest and do it.
Those baby steps on the path of movement will lead to the bigger moments that will seem much easier than they did yesterday.
