Why do I get upset over silly little things he says? Why does it affect me so much? How can I control my temper more and just ignore the little things about him that bother me? |

It's really good you don't argue about big things.
And it means that in general things are alright.
This situation is completely normal, in a relationship you don't always have to agree with your partner.
When you start a relationship, you should agree on the basics.
Smallest things make partners different from each other, and help both to retain their personalities.

It's sounds like you two are in love. When you're in love with someone, you tend to argue about really small things. It's more to get a rise out of the other person than really arguing. It sounds like you both want attention from each other, whether it's negative attention or not. I'm sure that you both enjoy making up as well. That's one of the best parts about being in a relationship. Everything will be fine. Relax, take it slow, and enjoy the ride. If you guys start to argue, laugh it off, and tell her that it's funny that you guys are going out of your way to get a rise out of each other. :)
