writes:i am in a stable loving relationship with my boyfriend of nearly two years but i cant seem to forget my ex. we had a very rocky relationship of three years at one stage he hit me. i was the one too break it off but when ever i hear people saying his name the same butterflies reappear and i ache to be near him. sex with him was amazing he was all man. this doesnt sound good but i love my current boyfriend to bits and he his def the man i will spend the rest of my life with but why do i feel these things for my ex? help is long needed

 Your Ex when you were with him took alot of your time emotonally because it was such a difficult relationship. Sometimes these can be harder to get over or forget about. You now how a good healthy relationship, please don't ruin it thinking about an ex who had no respect for you. Maybe another reason you think of him alot is because of the sex life you shared he probably made you feel excited and this is why you think of him and get butterflies. Ask yourself this .... if he asked you tomorrow would you leave the good relationship you have now to go back to him? the answer to this should be no! Put all your engergy into your current relationship, you may always think fondly of your ex for what ever reason and in time, although it's been 2 years, you will think about him less and less. I promise!

 I think its only natural to think of passed loves from timme to time, but draw the line there, at thoughts, a memory. Try to concentrate on putting your all in to this present relationship.

 Well what can I say, the feelings will die off afeter some time, may be you still have some love left for him. Try to concentrate on your current relationship your in. let they feelings last while they can, is all you have left off him anyways.
