Some people (not necessarily boys) need to watch someones's lips during a conversation because it helps them concentrate on what the other person is saying. People with hearing problems have to do this all the time (and it's not always immediately obvious if someone has a very slight hearing problem.) I have to do it, when I'm speaking my second language because it helps me understand better.

reader, anonymous, writes (30 December 2009): i used to stare at a guy's lips because i faniced him and his lips were so lush - very kissable. I never acted on my desires but i didn't mind looking occasionally :) Maybe you look kissable to them :) Or maybe they are listening intentively to what you are saying - my gran always say she can't hear me unless she puts her glasses on, perhaps they are focussed on your lips to listen to you.
