A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

We've been dating a year in college long distance and everything has been fine, he loves me, i love him. He's transferring colleges and pledging a fraternity. Since he's decided this, he decided we did not need to be together. i've never been controlling...EVER. unlike most of his friends girlfriends. I dont quite understand why he did this. What do I do?

A female reader, rambini United Kingdom +, writes (13 April 2010):

rambini agony auntthere is not always a reason for these things, it could be that he is very involved in college and his frat, which means making lots of new friends and has just decided that he doesnt have the time to commit to you as well. it must be very hard for you, but the best thing you can do is accept his decision with dignity and move on. good luck x

You didn't do anything. Something in him has made him take this decision. But it's not you. The best thing you can do now is accept that he has made this decisions for whatever reason, stop trying to blame yourself and move on.
