writes: this sounds so silly but i need advice.i have a very close friend but he doesnt know im in love with him. he was in a bad way when i first met him and over the last 8 months hes got his confidence back and ive supported him and made sure hes ok. he says hes never had anyone be as nice to him as me and sometimes i get annoyed because i feel as though he doesnt appreciate me. ive helped him through all his job assessments and i always pay when we go out-he rarely offers and he acts like these things are just normal when most people would think these things a big deal. he says he values me yet i feel hurt as if he doesnt care especially how i feel. he cant see hes got someone whos loyal to him and would do anything for him yet he acts like stuff i do is normal-even big stuff what shall i do ?

Stop doing whatever you are doing for him. He probably figured out that you have a weakness for him and he is taking advantage of you. You are unconsciously trying to buy his love by offering him help and material things- unluckily this never works. Gratitude is not the same as love- and anyway this fine fellow of yours is not even grateful to you !
