Quiet Kisses is correct on all counts. I am afraid of commitment because I like my life the way it is, I like living alone & I'm selfish in a lot of ways. I also have a fear of feeling trapped & making a mistake. It's irrational because commitment frees you in many ways.

Because your mind automatcally goes to this is it, this is the last person I am EVER going to be with. Sometimes it is a fear of getting hurt too, nobody likes rejection so some avoid the possibility of it ever happening period. Others might worry about if this person is the right one for them, I mean what if someone better comes along...then you worry about hurting this wonderful person youve come to care about even if you cant see yourself commiting the rest of your life to them. It gets pretty complicated. Some get over it and others never do.
