We talked for a few hours and had such a great time, he even told me about how much he liked me when we were young, and when we had seen each other for a few months in high school. At present we are in college when all the texting is going on and he took me to dinner multiple times, each of which was great. A few weeks after we started hanging out, school started back up, and he went back a week before me. The texting dwindled down to only once in a while and eventually to nothing. Two weeks went by and I finally decided to message him, he answered but it was very simple and not very exciting. We both really liked each other before and talked about a lot of serious things, how could he just drop me and walk away. I know school is busy and a sport adds stress, but simply talking is not that much to ask. Am I wasting my time, or should I just give it some time? I really like him and I believe he did like me at one point. HELP!

Give him like a week or so more to get a handle on things, then try to have a talk with him.

Id say maybe he does like you but maybe he has a full plate on his hands. Perhaps give him some time to work out everything and then try to start things with him.
