She didnt say that she scratched it today only that i shouldnt park there when there isnt enough space in the yard which is a load of bull as 12 vehicles can park in the yard. she went off to a concert and this evening before i went out my mam brought it to my attention the damage was done and some of my paint was on the front of her car i need to get it fixed and am just wondering where do i go to get it done cause my mam hasn't a clue and it looks awful for me cause its my first car and i am payin for it by myself. I know she is footin the bill but where do i go to get it fixed. Reply to this Question Share |

You could file a claim with your insurer (assuming you have insurance) but without proof that she caused the damage and unless she is willing to admit to it officially, you will have to pay a deducible (which is usually $500 here and assuming you have the appropriate coverage).
I'm not sure what the exact rules are in Ireland, but underwriting philosophies tend to be the same among insurers.
If the amount of the damage is close to or exceeds the deductible then there is no point in submitting a claim. It could come back to haunt you in the future.
Contact an auto body repair shop and arrange to have your care taken in for an estimate. If your sister is willing and able to pay out of pocket then she can pay them directly when the work is done. She might want you to get a second estimate from another shop to ensure you're getting the best price.

A body shop. They often have the word 'Collision' in the name.

File a claim against your sister.
